About the Role
As a Home Inspector, you will help home buyers make informed decisions about their potential investment by providing a comprehensive understanding of a property's condition. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with a passion for exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and/or commercial properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or defects.
- Inspect various systems and components of the home, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and structural elements.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections and accurately document findings within 24 hours.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports that clearly outline any observed deficiencies or concerns.
- Communicate inspection findings to clients in a professional and informative manner.
- Provide recommendations for contractor types for repairs or maintenance based on inspection results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance during inspections.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid and current (or currently working towards) state-issued Home Inspectors license if required by the state.
- Must be willing to achieve Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential through InterNACHI or have passed the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE) if in an unlicensed state.
- Must be able to stand, crawl in tight crawl spaces, walk, climb ladders, climb and walk on roofs, and lift 25 pounds.
- Must have a cell phone with a data plan and willingness to learn how to operate a drone.
- Must have attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects.
- Must have a clean background (federal and state).
- Must have effective communication skills to clearly convey inspection findings to clients.
- Must not be scared of crawlspaces (tight spaces) or roofs (heights).
- Must have or be willing to carry General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage.
- Candidate must be located within 50 miles of the listed city on this job requisition.
- Proof of licensing and insurance will be requested if considered for the opening.
- Not allowed to work for other inspection companies.
