About the Role

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Building Services Electrical Engineer to join the Construction Segment in London. This role ensures continuity of engineering processes on current and future projects.

Responsibilities

• Tender engineering, including reviewing designs, commentary, buildability studies, logistics, and planning.
• Project engineering, managing M&E design teams and their interfaces with architectural and structural elements.
• Conducting technical reviews of system and equipment design requirements to ensure specification compliance, legislative adherence, and certificated scheme compliance (e.g., BREEAM, WELL).
• Performing technical evaluations of prospective manufacturers' equipment submissions before purchase.
• Evaluating sub-contractors' tender offers, focusing on Quality Assurance, program, and logistics.
• Managing the production of coordinated installation drawings for technical compliance, buildability, operation, maintenance, and Health & Safety (CDM).

Requirements

• Ideally possess an Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Experience working in the Construction industry within Building Services.
• Good knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical systems & equipment and design/coordination requirements.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and lead a small team.
• Must be able to manage workload and possess good time management skills.
• Good IT skills in Excel & Word, with the ability to use other IT software.
• Previous management experience would be beneficial.
