About the Role
Career & Employment Options (CEO) provides transition services to school districts and special needs students and adults. This role involves providing instruction and support in job readiness, career planning, job coaching, community access, and travel training for students and individuals in work-related programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in job-readiness, career planning, job-coaching, community access training, and travel training.
- Provide vocational/transition services including job development.
- Perform services in school districts and the community.
- Complete documentation, billing, and interactions with school districts, ACCES-VR, and WIOA grants accurately and on time.
- Provide students/clients with a positive environment and effective counseling.
- Assist students/clients in achieving career and community goals.
- Enable students/clients to perform effectively in community-based worksites.
- Develop job opportunities and engage with Department of Labor programs and businesses.
- Collaborate with student/client families to ensure their active participation in the employment process.
- Utilize and modify the CEO curriculum.
- Provide information and goal activity for CSE or ACCES/VR planning meetings.
- Ensure documentation reflects planned and implemented activities.
- Prepare and report on transition documents and outcomes for all students.
Requirements
- Must have at least 3 years working with individuals with disabilities.
- Experience as a Human Service Professional.
