About the Role
Happy Tree Service of Austin is looking for a skilled and hardworking Tree Worker to join our growing crew in Austin, TX. This is a hands-on outdoor role where you'll play a vital part in keeping Austin's trees healthy, beautiful, and safe.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and shaping to maintain tree health and aesthetics
- Conduct tree removal operations including felling, sectional dismantling, and stump grinding
- Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, and other arborist equipment safely
- Clear and haul away debris, brush, and logs from job sites
- Assist with rigging and climbing operations as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and ANSI Z133 standards on every job
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members on-site
Requirements
- Prior experience in tree care, arboriculture, or landscaping preferred
- Ability to safely operate chainsaws, wood chippers, and hand tools
- Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- ISA Arborist Certification or climbing experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in Austin's heat and varied weather conditions
