About the Role

Play a key role in supporting the business with pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice. Provide legal support across corporate, commercial, privacy, consumer and regulatory matters, oversee legal risk management, manage external legal providers, and ensure compliance with evolving legislative and regulatory requirements. Partner closely with senior stakeholders and make a meaningful impact in a purpose-driven organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, procurement, technology, data-sharing and confidentiality agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on privacy, consumer law, customer communications and regulatory obligations.
  • Review and advise on customer-facing materials, communications, marketing content and business initiatives to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Support business stakeholders by providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice.
  • Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance with governance, risk and stakeholder reporting activities.
  • Develop and deliver legal training to enhance compliance awareness and legal capability across the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' post-admission experience, ideally gained across both private practice and in-house environments.
  • Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to manage complex legal and commercial issues.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of an organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, facilitate and coach others.
