About the Role
Public Storage is the self-storage industry leader and is hiring now for Property Managers. This role involves working independently at multiple locations, assessing customer needs, selling supplies, inspecting units, managing payments, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer storage needs and make suggestions.
- Sell packing and moving supplies.
- Perform daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability.
- Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
- Assist customers with payments and make reminder and collection calls.
- Transport and move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Walk in/around facilities, spending up to 50% of time outdoors.
- Climb stairs and open large doors.
- Perform cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping/mopping and maintaining exterior grounds.
- Keep exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must utilize own vehicle to travel between work locations and for work-related business.
- Ability to transport/lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to walk in/around facilities and spend up to 50% of time outdoors.
- Ability to climb stairs and open large doors.
- Experience in customer service-centered sales environments (e.g., retail, restaurant, fast food, service-based companies).
