About the Role

As the Training & Development Manager at High Point Federal Credit Union, you will shape the future of our front-line teams by developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence employees need to succeed. You will transform real-world operational experience into engaging training programs that prepare employees to deliver exceptional service and build meaningful relationships with our members.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for Teller, Member Service, and Lending roles.
  • Lead and evolve High Point FCU's Universal Program, ensuring employees have a clear path for growth and development.
  • Conduct classroom, virtual, and hands-on training that builds confidence, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Partner with managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and close operational skill gaps.
  • Evaluate employee readiness and provide feedback to management regarding training progress and development.
  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including assigning courses, tracking completion, maintaining training records, and ensuring documentation is audit-ready.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, guides, and presentations that reflect current procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on employee feedback, operational trends, and business needs.
  • Travel between branch locations to support training and employee development.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of front-line financial institution operations, including teller transactions, member service, and consumer lending.
  • Ability to successfully complete the High Point FCU Member Service Excellent Program and Credit Union Facilitator Certification (CCUF).
  • Associate degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two or more years of experience training, coaching, or developing employees on operational processes or systems is preferred.
