About the Role

The Cleaner will perform a variety of custodial duties under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor, adhering to C&W Services' established standards, instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces.
• Operate light and heavy floor machines, including buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
• Perform daily spot cleaning and shampooing of rugs as directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills, interior door glass, partition glass, and specified windows.
• Wash exterior glass and trim at entrance doors.
• Wash and spot clean interior walls as needed daily.
• Clean bathrooms daily, restocking supplies and performing standard bathroom cleaning procedures.
• Monitor for and report defects such as clogged urinals and lights out to supervisors.
• Collect and dispose of building trash daily in designated areas.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers.
• Perform snow removal from steps, walkways, and connecting sidewalks as directed.
• Conduct periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface care, polishing, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic cleaning responsibilities require no previous experience.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack-style portable vacuum cleaner.
• Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
