About the Role
The Senior Legal Executive Assistant will provide the highest level of administrative support, client support and practice coordination. This role will be responsible for coordinating and tracking deadlines and deliverables, court filings, and all aspects of the partner’s practice. This role will work closely with practice management and other teams and, at times, provide additional support on broader projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to move beyond transactional tasks to focus on strategic initiatives, such as managing a partner's email inbox, coordinating deadlines, and strategic business travel planning.
- Collaborate with the assigned partner to manage and quarterback the day-to-day coordination of their practice.
- Liaise with firm departments (Marketing, Finance, Conflicts, etc.) to ensure smooth operation of the partner's business.
- Be flexible and commit to working outside of business hours and on weekends.
- Manage complex administrative duties including scheduling, report preparation, furnishing information, responding to correspondence, technical support, processing expenses, and answering calls.
- Manage client onboarding, billing, and relationship management activities.
- Organize complex domestic and international travel arrangements with detailed itineraries.
- Assist in the creation of internal and external presentations.
- Coordinate and assist with information and research gathering for meetings and events.
- Serve as a liaison to other firm departments and external stakeholders for projects and events.
Requirements
- Continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients.
- Collaboration and facilitation skills to work with various departments and facilitate their ability to work with each other.
- High degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
- High level of adaptability and flexibility.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Self-starter with demonstrated instances of taking initiative.
- Creative thinker who is resourceful and anticipatory of the needs of their assignments.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
