About the Role
This is a full-time, 24-month fixed-term opportunity to join Western Union’s Compliance Team. The Manager, Project Management will support the Program Director in developing processes, systems, and strategies for Western Union Australia’s compliance with local financial crime regulations, global policies, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage components of a complex large financial crime compliance uplift project.
- Lead and coordinate core project activities including gap analysis, solution design, documentation, issue resolution, resource planning, progress tracking, status reporting, implementation, change management, and post-implementation review and closure.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Develop presentations for communication.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience managing financial crime compliance uplift/remediation projects in a complex retail/consumer financial services organization with multiple products in payment services, ideally in a multinational institution.
- Practical experience in developing and executing project management methodology.
- Substantive understanding of Australian AML/CTF regulations within the financial services industry.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills.
- Ability to create change through influence, foster teamwork, and orchestrate teams.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, ability to earn the trust of leadership, business partners, and relevant subject matter experts.
- Strong customer-centric viewpoint and highly motivated to identifying and pursuing process efficiencies.
- Ability to adapt working hours to prioritize interactions with global stakeholders located in other jurisdictions as required.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to contribute to a team setting alongside other risk, compliance, and project management personnel.
