About the Role
International trade and collaboration are crucial for economic growth. Connected Places Catapult facilitates this by working with global governments, industry, and innovation leaders to expand markets, build partnerships, and showcase UK expertise. This role is key to delivering the Digital Construction International Programme, advancing digital construction globally through best practices in information management and BIM. You will build and manage relationships with international governments, public sector organizations, and industry leaders, design and deliver international missions, workshops, and knowledge exchange activities to foster meaningful partnerships and market opportunities. Success requires navigating diverse cultural, political, and commercial environments, building trusted senior stakeholder relationships, and translating program deliverables into actionable outputs. This is a unique opportunity to shape international partnerships, drive innovation, economic growth, and promote UK standards and expertise globally. International travel and engagement across time zones are required.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted client and stakeholder relationships.
- Identify new opportunities and support the delivery of high-quality international programs.
- Shape workstreams, develop bids and proposals, and manage stakeholder information.
- Contribute specialist expertise to strengthen Connected Places Catapult’s credibility and impact.
- Deliver against agreed revenue, utilization, and program targets, focusing on quality, value for money, and client confidence.
- Identify and develop new opportunities, including follow-on work, second phase wins, and contributions to bids, proposals, and account development.
- Scope, plan, and lead workstreams, including budgets, deliverables, delivery models, and coordination across core and virtual teams.
- Design and deliver professional, innovative, and impactful activities that meet partner needs and bridge the gap between innovation and market adoption.
- Build senior stakeholder buy-in, manage key relationships, and ensure stakeholder, account, and opportunity information is kept up-to-date in the CRM system.
- Contribute thought leadership, specialist insight, and learning opportunities to strengthen delivery, proposal development, and team capability.
- Maintain personal professional development and role model Connected Places Catapult’s commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and inclusive innovation.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support Connected Places Catapult’s strategic outcomes and effective business operations.
Requirements
- Experience in international engagement and diplomacy.
- Stakeholder management experience.
- Experience in complex program delivery.
- Ability to navigate diverse cultural, political, and commercial environments.

- Ability to translate detailed program deliverables into actionable outputs.
- Knowledge and experience of the construction and infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
- Support for the Global BIM Network.
