About the Role
Grow Therapy is seeking a Manager, Strategic Communications to build a sophisticated external communications operation, making Grow a household name and the most trusted authority in mental health. This role will modernize care delivery and positively impact society by turning product, clinical, and research work into compelling stories for various audiences. You will own proactive newsmaking and handle reactive moments with sound judgment, reporting to the Head of Strategic Communications.
Responsibilities
- Own PR execution for Grow's priority initiatives, increasing share of voice and positioning Grow as a go-to source on topics like youth mental health, social media, connection, coping skills, personal growth, and AI's role in psychological health.
- Translate product, clinical, and research work into compelling stories, packaging data, benchmark research, advisory work, and client insights into media moments that build trust and distinguish Grow.
- Lead company visibility around key milestones, including executive hires, awards, partner moments, rebrand news, and year-end momentum stories.
- Build distinct storylines for consumers, business and tech media, employers, payors, primary care partners, clinical researchers, and top tech talent, and activate the right messengers.
- Manage earned media, executive social, blog and Substack, and dynamic social content through a shared story calendar, strengthening reporter relationships and managing reactive issues.
Requirements
- Ability to transform complex product, research, and business updates into clear, engaging stories for both consumer and business audiences.
- Experience running integrated campaigns across earned media, owned content, executive channels, events, partnerships, and social.
- Proficiency in writing and editing core materials, including pitches, press releases, FAQs, talking points, blog posts, and briefing documents.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, creators, and other trusted third parties.
- Experience leading proactive newsmaking while handling reactive issues with calm judgment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, clinical, marketing, legal, and leadership teams to ensure messaging alignment.
- Experience prepping spokespeople and executives for interviews, launches, events, and sensitive moments.
- Skill in managing agencies, timelines, approvals, and multiple fast-moving work streams.
- Experience coaching teammates and improving processes to strengthen future campaigns.

- $144,000–$168,000 USD Annually
