About the Role
As a dedicated Network Engineer on our team, you'll support critical national security network infrastructure. You will upgrade and expand network-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge will come in handy as you optimize client operations and support modernization. As a Network Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions. Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networks.
- Ensure compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Work alongside senior engineers to ensure high availability, security, and performance of classified networks.
- Upgrade and expand network-wide infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Analyze current working infrastructure.
- Increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.
- Optimize client operations and support modernization.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in network administration or network engineering within a DoD or highly regulated environment.
- Experience leveraging monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
- Experience configuring and installing network devices and services such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with system integration and collaborating with systems administration to ensure seamless integration across Windows and Linux using virtual applications, including VMware vSphere environments.
- Experience with COMSEC management, including assisting with handling, configuring, and maintenance of cryptographic devices such as KG series and secure communications equipment.
- Experience creating and updating detailed network topology diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration records.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP, and switching technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- HS diploma or GED.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE Certification.
