About the Role

As a dedicated Network Engineer on our team, you'll support critical national security network infrastructure. You will upgrade and expand network-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge will come in handy as you optimize client operations and support modernization. As a Network Engineer, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions. Responsibilities

Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networks.
Ensure compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Work alongside senior engineers to ensure high availability, security, and performance of classified networks.
Upgrade and expand network-wide infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
Analyze current working infrastructure.
Increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems.
Optimize client operations and support modernization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in network administration or network engineering within a DoD or highly regulated environment.
Experience leveraging monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
Experience configuring and installing network devices and services such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with system integration and collaborating with systems administration to ensure seamless integration across Windows and Linux using virtual applications, including VMware vSphere environments.
Experience with COMSEC management, including assisting with handling, configuring, and maintenance of cryptographic devices such as KG series and secure communications equipment.
Experience creating and updating detailed network topology diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration records.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP, and switching technologies.
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Willingness to take a polygraph exam.
HS diploma or GED.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE Certification.
