About the Role
STV is seeking experienced Project/Program Managers with aviation expertise to assist clients with aviation projects throughout the western U.S. The role requires significant aviation experience and prior management of design or construction within an active airport terminal environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management, technical oversight, and leadership for all phases of aviation capital improvement projects.
- Manage business case development, stakeholder engagement, design management, procurement, permitting, scheduling, project delivery, cost and change management, safety, and quality control.
- Provide guidance to discipline managers and contractors on program challenges, risk management, innovation, schedule, and budget performance.
- Develop project-level processes, procedures, controls, and governance aligned with overall project goals.
- Oversee all aspects of project planning and development, including engineering, construction, bidding strategy, schedules, cost estimating, budget oversight, systems integration, and commissioning/activation.
- Facilitate coordination with stakeholders, including airport operating divisions, airline operations, regulatory agencies, and other partners.
- Develop the overall program schedule and oversee the integration of project-level schedules.
- Utilize earned value management to track and manage the program and associated projects.
- Schedule and conduct design and/or construction progress meetings.
- Drive planning, design, and construction deliverables to meet dates.
- Present progress to stakeholders and project delivery partners.
- Use electronic tools including Primavera P6, Project Management Information Systems (PMIS), and related software.
- Coordinate maintenance of traffic and phasing plans, utility shutdown requests, impact notices, disruption notices, and contingency planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural, Construction Management, or similar.
- Minimum 15 years of construction and/or project management experience.
- Experience in successful management of capital projects/programs exceeding $10M.
- Knowledge of airport operations, design, and construction of airport facilities.
- Experience overseeing multiple concurrent construction activities on complex capital infrastructure projects is preferred.
