About the Role

As Sr. Manager, FP&A, you will develop collaborative relationships within 2-3 of the 8 watch brand teams locally, regionally and centrally to master the specifics and gain in-depth knowledge of each brand to facilitate strategic partnerships and the ability to drive the various financial processes, support brand management with special projects for strategic decision making and monitor brand KPI’s. You will lead all finance activities (actuals, budget, forecasts, variances) of these watch brands, including but not limited to analysis to explain underlying business dynamics, pro-active insights into costs review/control to support business development as well as reporting and commenting on results. As a member of the FP&A Watch Brands team, you will also maintain various cross brand initiatives such as a strong internal controls environment and compliance with regional, brand and Group directives/regulations. This role requires strong interpersonal skills with significant interaction amongst key stakeholders throughout the organization within the brands locally as well as centrally plus within Richemont Americas regional functions across US, Canada, LATAM, Mexico and Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budget and latest estimate processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions, including detailed workpapers and commentary.
  • Ensure figures accurately reflect brand’s regional strategy through in-depth and detailed collaboration with brand management, both locally and centrally.
  • Work closely with local brand presidents to realize each brand’s strategic vision for the region.
  • Support the brands during annual strategic plan presentations.
  • Control personnel costs planning together with brand management and HR team for accurate budgeting/forecasting of personnel costs as well as headcount.
  • Continually monitor personnel costs evolution to optimize brand’s organizational strategy.
  • Review sales analysis to monitor evolution and trends as well as understand key drivers.
  • Drive the monthly close process by collaborating with business partners, managing deadlines, ensuring accurate financial results, monitoring phasing and analyzing trends.
  • Balance sheet/cash flow analysis (customer deposits, current liabilities, accounts receivable, stock provisions, sales return provisions, lease reporting) as basis for sound budgeting/forecasting, including monthly phasing.
  • Provide timely variance analysis to business partners highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver month-end reporting to brand management, including insightful commentary.
  • Continue to evolve relevant reporting and dashboards to meet brands’ needs.
  • Prepare capital investment requisitions (CAR’s) including detailed P&L’s, supporting commentary and relevant comparatives to brand KPI’s.
  • Provide guidance on appropriate policies and templates as well as insight on P&L specifics based on brand and/or regional metrics.
  • Liaise will all key stakeholders (local and central brand teams – commercial, finance, construction; real estate, accounting).
  • Track capex spending by project vs budget and approved capital investment requests; collaborate with brand teams for transparency and reconciliation.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues.
  • Support business development activities and control costs to optimize brand’s regional profit and cash flow.
  • In collaboration with local and HQ marketing teams, review A&P costs for accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as support the brand’s optimization of A&P funds to fulfill marketing initiatives for the region.
  • Work together with Mexico/Brazil finance teams and consolidate operating results across the Americas region to provide regional overview for local brand management and ensure consistency and accuracy of regional best practices, brand objectives, Richemont policies, internal controls and compliance.
  • Key strategic partner for brands as well as Richemont regional functions regarding invoice coding, approval matrix, non-stock purchase orders and other operational concerns.
  • Essential advocate of internal controls, including communication to brands, monthly reviews and follow up to ensure compliance as well as meaningful feedback on control documentation.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support broader finance team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant field.
  • 8-10 years of FP&A experience, preferably in a large, multinational corporate environment.
  • Luxury and/or retail company experience a plus.
  • Solid background in accounting and finance principles.
  • Technology proficiency with knowledge of and ability to leverage technology and digital tools to support and drive continuous improvement and optimize financial processes for efficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Analysis and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret qualitative as well as quantitative information.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to work with all levels and functions within a matrixed organization, adapting communications and deliverables to diverse audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, results oriented, ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Curious nature with aptitude to be proactive and problem-solve, flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Detail oriented with keen time management skills; able to dive deep into specifics while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player; hands on approach and comfortable taking on big and small tasks alike.
