About the Role
This position assists the Events & Festivals Team in delivering entertainment and public event experiences for the City of Parramatta, supporting the annual program with high-quality events that foster a positive reputation.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of Council events and festivals in line with Council policies and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with Project Leads, Team Leaders, and the Events & Festivals Manager to deliver high-quality community events.
- Coordinate event-related projects, stakeholder requests, partnerships, and business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Provide on-the-ground operational support at events, including occasional after-hours and weekend work.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, contractors, and event partners.
Requirements
- Previous demonstrated understanding of events and related functions.
- Tertiary qualifications (min Cert III) in Event Management or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Events role.
- Class C motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Experience supporting the planning and delivery of events, festivals or community programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with a diverse client group at all levels and act professionally and with discretion.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident or have unlimited working rights in Australia.

Salary/Compensations
- $91,365.95 to $100,642.13 plus 12% superannuation
