About the Role
Olsson is seeking a talented and experienced Design Technician to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves using CAD software for complex engineering design, attending client meetings, and preparing project cost estimates. You will prepare engineering and survey drawings from rough sketches and general design information, following established standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other team members to produce high-quality engineering designs for site design projects.
- Perform engineering support tasks such as gathering data, updating and maintaining computer files, preparing copies of drawings, and documenting design changes.
- Use CAD software to design and layout complex engineering drawings.
- Prepare engineering and survey drawings from rough sketches and general design information.
- Travel to job sites for observation and perform fieldwork in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- 3 years of Civil 3D CAD software experience.
