About the Role
Clifford Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for a position as a Generator Field Service Technician in the Austin area. The position requires an understanding of combustion engines, electricity, and interfacing with control software via laptop.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service above and beyond expectations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and electrical repairs on power generation equipment.
- Perform work on power generation equipment at customer sites or occasionally at the local shop.
- Use safe practices with operation of service truck.
- Perform preventive maintenance on power generation equipment.
- Perform start-ups on new power generation equipment.
- Perform warranty work on power generation equipment.
- Process required paperwork and electronic submissions within deadlines.
- Maintain parts inventory of service truck.
- Be a 24/7 on-call technician.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Common hand tools and electrical meter required to perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
