About the Role
The Associate: Operations (AO) position is primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations at EMNRBS. This role involves managing school information platforms, family communication, and staff support, with potential for evening and weekend work. The AO collaborates with various stakeholders and plays a key role in developing a positive school culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage school information platforms.
- Handle family communication through various methods.
- Provide staff support.
- Gather and report data for regulatory compliance.
- Support student enrollment, including recruitment and ongoing support.
- Plan, coordinate, and support school events.
- Oversee facility operations, including food services and staff supplies.
- Manage finance and purchasing, including inventory control and invoice reconciliation.
- Maintain and manage school information systems, site infrastructure, and student/staff equipment.
- Collaborate with and support the Human Resources Department as needed.
- Engage with parents and scholars via letters, emails, texts, phone calls, and in-person interactions.
- Manage the distribution of MetroCards, schedules, and transcripts.
- Compile and generate reports on student data (attendance, demographics, academic progress, testing, compliance).
- Attend high school fairs and conduct outreach to potential families.
- Support parents during student recruitment with applications and documentation.
- Maintain pupil count to meet school standards.
- Collaborate and support during events.
- Create and distribute flyers to invitees.
- Ensure maintenance requests are processed promptly.
- Maintain common spaces to standard presentation.
- Provide support gathering data for compliance matters.
- Manage annual projects regarding onboarding, staff planning, and compensation.
- Ensure staff have access to print and purchasing for supplies and equipment.
- Oversee the use, care, and maintenance of school copy machines, devices, and platforms.
- Provide basic IT support and training on school platforms.
- Play a key role in developing and reinforcing a positive school culture.
- Exhibit professionalism, including business attire and communication, at all times.
Requirements
- 2-4 Years of professional work experience in an educational institution (Preferred).
- Working knowledge of various online platforms related to educational institutions (PowerSchool, SchoolMint, ATS, etc.) (Preferred).
- Working knowledge of financial control processes and procedures related to educational institutions or nonprofits (financial transaction reconciliations and inventory/supply reconciliations).
- Working knowledge of hardware and software technology (e.g., computers, Chromebooks, etc.) with the ability to provide basic IT support to students and teachers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive change, meet deadlines, and manage complex tasks.
- Outstanding communication, feedback integration, and data management skills.
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Proactively identify and assess problems, and effectively bring solutions to resolve them.
