About the Role
This role emphasizes close collaboration with sales leadership to obtain referrals and contribute to membership growth through local area and community-based marketing. It involves strategic networking, implementing initiatives, planning community events, and tracking lead conversion and ROI.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales leaders to ensure a continual pipeline to meet assigned sales/membership growth targets.
- Build and strengthen relationships within the local community, including politicians, senior centers, providers, and other centers of influence.
- Coordinate community meetings and events in local markets.
- Represent the company at community/employer/company-sponsored events to promote the organization, raise awareness, and generate leads and sales.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with external stakeholders, elected officials, county and community-based programs, and identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve assigned sales/membership growth targets.
- Track lead and sales conversions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor plans focused on lead generation.
- Generate qualified leads that convert into members.
- Help build and advance the company's brand and value propositions.
- Analyze major competitor strategies.
- Identify and monitor changing patterns of competition and recommend responses.
- Create business cases and/or obtain resources for business information needs and strategic initiatives.
- Adhere to the highest level of compliance expectations.
- Meet expected use of the customer relationship management system.
- Adhere to all sales operations processes.
- Know all elements of the product portfolio and associated eligibility guidelines for various election periods.
- Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of previous outside sales or Outreach experience within the Medicare community.
- 5+ years of experience in a coordinator role supporting a sales team, previous outside sales, or outreach experience within the Medicare community; or any combination of education which would provide an equivalent background.
- 3+ years of experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekends.
- Medicare experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in business/product network development and/or marketing experience.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and privacy laws.
- Communicate effectively and professionally.
- Deliver presentations to leadership groups and teams in a cohesive, consistent manner.

- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced or implementation environment.
