About the Role

The Junior Associate Director (Supervisor) will oversee fund administration services for private market clients, focusing on private equity structures. This role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reporting, and supervising associate-level staff to ensure quality and consistency. The position supports accounting and operational aspects using the Investran platform and serves as a key contact for clients, auditors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review financial data from Private Equity clients and load to internal accounting systems.
  • Assist with setting up, preparing, and reviewing consolidations through the investment structure using various consolidation rules.
  • Process payment of fund expenses in the applicable banking system.
  • Book journal entries related to cash payments and accruals.
  • Prepare third-party reconciliations of investments and cash.
  • Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and notices.
  • Prepare fee schedules, including calculation of management fees and carried interest, ensuring compliance with fund documents.
  • Prepare investor allocations for each NAV cycle, ensuring correct booking of capital transactions and P&L allocation.
  • Prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables as defined in service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients, banks, auditors, and other third parties to ensure smooth delivery and completion of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education/University Degree with a concentration in finance or accounting.
  • Some years of experience working in the fund administration industry with experience managing staff.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of the fund administration industry, including multiple fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and fund offering documentation review.
  • Existing experience with fund accounting software Geneva, Investran, or Yardi would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg would be beneficial but not necessary.
