About the Role
Zurich Canada Technical Underwriting is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Commercial Business unit. This role supports pricing for new and renewal business, develops premium structures, and aids in the transformation of the Commercial lines ecosystem. You will partner with underwriters and global pricing teams, gaining broad experience across Commercial lines and contributing to pricing, portfolio management, and transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation on actuarial models and risk issues.
- Develop pricing models reflecting complex account structures, high deductibles/SIRs, and/or aggregates.
- Collaborate with market-facing underwriters to deliver creative client solutions and support technical underwriters on pricing decisions.
- Set and communicate pricing algorithm requirements for production systems.
- Monitor business portfolio performance and track key performance indicators.
- Evolve lines of business with new insights and pricing techniques.
- Ensure implementation of governance processes, maintaining compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop an international network by sharing best practices with global colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Sciences, or other technical degree.
- 5 Exams or near ACAS or equivalent international certification recognized by the CIA.
- 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or knowledge of statistical analysis software (such as SQL and R).
