About the Role

The Manager Surveillance Investigations is responsible for protecting casino assets, ensuring the integrity of gaming and food & beverage operations, and maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees. This role utilizes advanced surveillance technology and investigative techniques to detect, document, and investigate fraud, theft, cheating, and other illegal activities, working closely with various internal departments and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraud, theft, cheating, and other illegal activities committed by patrons or employees.
  • Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems and digital recording devices, to monitor operations and gather evidence.
  • Analyze surveillance footage, financial records, and other data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies indicating fraudulent or illegal activity.
  • Document all investigative activities, findings, and evidence in detailed written reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of casino games, rules, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in casino cheating, fraud, and theft.
  • Identify vulnerabilities in casino operations and security systems and recommend preventative measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all investigations and sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Surveillance Director.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to applicable statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring surveillance systems.
  • Capacity to walk and stand for prolonged durations as operational needs dictate.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other related equipment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to decipher and maintain various reports.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Skills

  • Excellent observation, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Fluency in English required; second language a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of casino operations and food & beverage operations, gaming regulations, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in the use of surveillance equipment and technology, including CCTV systems, digital recording devices, and POS software.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial records and other data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
