About the Role

The Marketing & Promotions Assistant (Work Study) supports the FSU’s marketing and engagement efforts through on-campus promotions, social media content support, and poster board maintenance. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, creative student interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and student engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update poster boards across campus weekly, ensuring compliance with FSU policies.
  • Remove outdated materials and display current marketing content.
  • Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for FSU social media platforms.
  • Monitor trends and contribute to the development of creative campaigns.
  • Support on-campus promotional activities, including setting up and managing promotional tables.
  • Participate in Communication initiatives to promote FSU events and services.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to brainstorm and implement student engagement strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on marketing needs and student interests.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program.
  • Enrolled in a marketing-related program (preference for students continuing through April 2027).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest or experience in marketing, social media, or promotions.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable and dependable with a commitment to scheduled shifts and deadlines.
  • Access to a vehicle for occasional inter-campus travel is an asset.
