About the Role

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Sales & Finance Engineering team. This role is crucial for supporting Commercial, Sales, Strategy, and Finance organizations by bridging business needs with data infrastructure. You will translate business questions into data products and own the end-to-end process from pipeline building to visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines from source systems into Snowflake, focusing on reliability, observability, and maintainability.
  • Implement and manage orchestration flows using Airflow or Dagster.
  • Build transformation layers using dbt, including data modeling, testing, and documentation standards.
  • Design and maintain Sigma dashboards for business stakeholder reporting.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across reporting surfaces through validation practices and source-of-truth definitions.
  • Partner with Commercial, Sales, Strategy, and Finance stakeholders, product managers, and engineering leads to understand data needs and build supporting tools.
  • Translate business requirements into clear data specifications and prioritized work.
  • Communicate proactively with partners about tradeoffs, expectations, and complex data concepts.
  • Contribute to broader engineering work on the Sales & Finance team, including data-oriented product features, code reviews, and supporting integrations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, software engineering, or a hybrid role.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
  • Strong working knowledge of dbt for transformation, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience building and managing pipeline orchestration with Airflow or Dagster.
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations, ideally with Sigma or a comparable BI tool.
  • Exposure to engineering work beyond data, such as APIs, backend services, or product feature development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders, helping to shape project scope and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable interacting with both engineers and executives.
  • Genuine curiosity and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving role requirements.
