About the Role
Seeking a co-op student to support the Preconstruction team for an 8-month term.
Responsibilities
- Record and track the distribution of project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with construction design standards.
- Maintain project documentation in the system.
- Manage data collection for project documentation.
- Prepare work breakdown structures and quantity takeoffs for estimates.
- Assist in performance monitoring for constructability review.
- Prepare reports and sketches according to contract requirements or Ontario standards.
- Support daily and weekly cost tracking and analysis.
- Assist project managers and the construction team with reporting.
- Perform other related tasks to complete the project.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or relevant practices.
- Enrolled in an official co-op program.
- Experience in construction and civil engineering is considered an asset.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Bluebeam is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Ability to pay attention to details.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
