About the Role

Design Program Managers in the Risk organization act as connectors and problem solvers. They support design leads in running the functional team and product teams' design priorities, enabling Meta to design, build, and ship responsible, compliant products. They improve team communication, collaboration, and remove roadblocks by utilizing organizational and communication skills to keep teams on track, execute design initiatives, and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and drive large, organization-level product initiatives with multiple stakeholders, competing deadlines, dependencies, and moving parts.
  • Prioritize, assess tradeoffs, propose clear solutions, and communicate strategically.
  • Own and facilitate meetings to drive progress, establish clear next steps and owners, and resolve blockers.
  • Proactively assess execution risks, raise flags, and resolve issues before they become problems.
  • Serve as the operations subject matter expert to the product team, mentoring and sharing expertise.
  • Communicate persuasively to gain buy-in and feedback.
  • Proactively problem-solve and distribute information effectively.
  • Define and measure program and initiative impact qualitatively and quantitatively, refining for usage and adoption.
  • Scale programs and initiatives and delegate effectively with clear expectations.
  • Source and manage operational budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with shifting requirements, from concept and roadmapping through execution and delivery.
  • Experience working directly with product designers and content designers.
  • Experience independently managing project timelines, setting priorities, and escalating blockers across multiple workstreams.
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions.

Skills

  • AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration)
  • Responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Accessibility programs or inclusive design practices
  • Integrating AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows
  • Product or business strategy leadership
  • Vendor and contractor management

Experience Level

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience

Salary/Compensations

  • $162,000/year to $222,000/year
