About the Role

As a Preschool Behavior Analyst at Anderson Center for Autism, you'll play a critical role in supporting classrooms, coaching educators, and implementing evidence-based practices that help young learners build communication, social, academic, adaptive, and behavioral skills. You will help create classroom environments where children can thrive while ensuring staff have the tools, training, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional instruction. Responsibilities

  • Partner with Teachers and educational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain evidence-based classroom systems, positive behavior support strategies, and instructional programming.
  • Conduct ongoing classroom observations, assessments, and data analyses to evaluate student progress and identify learning needs.
  • Help develop IEP-aligned instructional strategies, individualized learning programs, and classroom supports.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to Teachers and classroom teams by providing training and feedback in evidence-based practices.
  • Utilize Behavior Skills Training (BST) methodologies to ensure staff achieve and maintain competency in instructional techniques and behavior support procedures.
  • Administer, analyze, and interpret assessment data to guide educational and behavioral decision-making.
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention strategies, including functional behavior assessment processes.
  • Collaborate with Teachers, therapists, educational leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated services.
  • Provide leadership in staff development, performance management, and professional growth initiatives.
  • Support program quality, regulatory compliance, and instructional fidelity.
  • Stay current with emerging research and best practices in applied behavior analysis and early childhood special education.

  • Assist occupants in the orderly evacuation of facilities during emergencies.
  • Complete all required agency training and professional development activities.
  • Maintain all required medical clearances, background checks, fingerprint clearances, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
  • Comply with agency policies, educational requirements, and organizational expectations.

Experience Level

  • Experience working with preschool-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Experience administering and interpreting VB-MAPP and similar assessment tools.

Education Level

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing or active pursuit of BCBA certification with eligibility to sit for the examination.
  • New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities Birth–Grade 2 preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $69,120.00 - $74,320.00
