About the Role
As the Associate Manager of Customer Lifecycle Marketing for USMP New, you will own DoorDash's new consumer onboarding lifecycle, focusing on programs, channels, and experiences that convert new sign-ups into habitual users. This high-investment, high-impact role requires aggressive iteration on core programs, expansion of reach surfaces, introduction of personalization, and budget management to build a more intelligent and effective onboarding system.
Responsibilities
- Own the new consumer onboarding strategy, defining the full lifecycle from sign-up through habituation.
- Iterate on core programs using a structured test-and-learn approach to improve conversion rates.
- Expand channel and surface coverage by identifying gaps and introducing new touchpoints.
- Introduce personalization into onboarding using customer attributes, behavioral signals, and segment data.
- Manage marketing budget with rigor, allocating toward highest-impact programs and making data-informed investment decisions.
- Build and own a measurement framework, defining KPIs and establishing performance reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Analytics, and Operations to align on onboarding definitions and opportunities.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing with strong technical depth.
- Deep familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Experience executing across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels.
- A strong test-and-learn orientation, running structured experiments and interpreting results.
- Experience managing a marketing budget and making investment decisions based on performance.
- Ability to use data to diagnose funnel breakdowns and create improvement plans.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, aligning stakeholders around a shared vision.
- High agency and an ownership mindset, driving change proactively.
