About the Role
Toolkit Tutors is building an active tutor network for current and upcoming in-person placements across NYC public schools, focusing on targeted, high-impact tutoring programs during the school day.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional capacity in English and Spanish.
- Tutor students in Math, ELA, Science, and Humanities.
- Offer Regents exam support.
- Provide test preparation.
- Engage in mentoring and small-group instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, completed (or near completion) with strong academic performance.
- At least one year of experience teaching or tutoring in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of core content area and Instructional Spanish.
- Experience working in urban school communities and an understanding of common student challenges.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to student growth.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students.
- Ability to commute to school sites across NYC.
- DOE fingerprint clearance strongly preferred.
