About the Role

Production Managers (PM) are responsible for overseeing assigned field workers, fleet, resources, and specific work production. Core functions include planning, scheduling, dispatching, in-field training, supervision, development, quality control, productivity, and direct cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production on the team calendar in coordination with the Operations Manager.
  • Source, pick up, and deliver materials to the Service Center or job sites.
  • Purchase supplies and materials according to purchasing guidelines.
  • Print and deliver work tickets to assigned Crew Leaders.
  • Close production tickets in Omnia-SDS and review job costing reports.
  • Assist with the execution of The ECF Egress Standard.
  • Dispatch assigned crews and collaborate with other PMs or the Operations Manager for resource shortfalls.
  • Supervise crews in the field, managing production, job hour, and material budgets.
  • Maintain all safety, production, and quality guidelines in the field.
  • Ensure fleet maintenance, proper operation, and timely reporting of essential repairs.
  • Uphold corporate standards for assigned fleet, personnel appearance, facility cleanliness, and job sites.
  • Complete all essential paperwork and reports for management.
  • Communicate with clients regarding production updates and handle requests, escalating as needed.
  • Perform quality control audits and identify project opportunities for customers.
  • Assist with estimating and takeoffs for proposals.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals as requested by leadership.
  • Present proposals to customers.
  • Attend client meetings with Account Executives or Leadership.
  • Conduct interviews, screen, and hire field workers.
  • Assist with employee orientation.
  • Train Crew Leaders and Crew Members in technical, safety, and soft skills.
  • Administer appropriate disciplinary protocols for subordinates.
  • Support specialized training courses for field personnel.
  • Assist employees in career development.

Requirements

  • Must pass security background checks that meet underwriting standards.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets underwriting standards.
  • Ability to use written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
  • Ability to observe and respond to people and situations.
  • Ability to learn and apply new information or skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with others encountered in the course of work.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and sit.
  • Ability to occasionally use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Willingness to work long hours for emergency, urgent response, or winter weather storm management operations.
  • Ability to work in environments occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
