About the Role
As a Finance Intern at High Point Federal Credit Union, you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and credit union operations. This internship offers an opportunity to apply classroom learning to real-world financial operations, build analytical skills, and contribute to impactful projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist Finance Analysts with financial reporting, data analysis, and special projects.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance Clerks and Analysts to improve processes and support department initiatives.
- Participate in internal audits, reconciliations, and compliance-related activities.
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks that support the Finance Department.
- Gain exposure to the day-to-day financial operations of a growing credit union.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Students enrolled in a two-year degree program who intend to transfer to a four-year institution are also encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to students who have completed at least their freshman year of college.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service.
