About the Role

Operate shredding, grinding, extruding, and pelletizing equipment in the manufacturing of recycled polyethylene (PE).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of administrative forms associated with the recycle process.
• Maintain machine settings within Standard Operating Condition parameters.
• Operate the recycle line within recommended safety and operating characteristics.
• Feed correct scrap material onto the in-feed belt for proper coloration and physical properties.
• Maintain 5S in work areas.
• Achieve and report scheduled output production rates.
• Report non-conforming product to management immediately.
• Perform and document preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment.
• Demonstrate teamwork by assisting and training co-workers.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.

Requirements

• User knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process-related issues.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to bend, squat, stand, and pull.
• Ability to wear and operate safety equipment (earplugs and safety glasses).
• Ability to read printed data from reports and computer screens.
• Must be able to present proof of identity and work eligibility post-hire.
