About the Role
As a Senior AEO/SEO Strategist within Conductor's Customer Success organization, you will identify risks and opportunities for strategic customers, acting as a trusted advisor to drive successful partnerships and renewals. You will also mentor others on best practices and champion the use of AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification of key customers at risk to achieving their outcomes by uncovering trends across at-risk accounts.
- Own the development of playbooks that enable account teams to proactively identify and act on solutions to mitigate risk.
- Serve as a senior consultant to understand strategic priorities of complex customers and develop tailored strategic success plans.
- Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success and Sales leadership to identify key customer challenges, opportunities, and renewal risk.
- Drive remediation efforts across internal stakeholder groups to mitigate risk of loss on high-value accounts.
- Champion the use of AI tools to create efficiencies in day-to-day processes, both internally and for customers.
- Help shape best practices that other team members can adopt.
- Develop scalable strategic solutions across Conductor's products and services that drive customer outcomes, reduce churn, and demonstrate long-term account growth.
- Provide advanced analysis and leverage AI tools to build customer dashboards that surface key insights into customer business and account performance.
- Drive engagement with executive sponsors, acting as a strategic voice to facilitate enablement and adoption of key solutions.
- Craft and present strategic plans and business cases at the executive level to demonstrate the value of our partnership and build alignment on key Conductor solutions.
- Serve as a mentor and go-to resource for other Strategists, sharing SEO/AEO expertise.
- Elevate team capability and contribute to internal enablement or training initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years specifically focused on SEO/AEO (agency or in-house).
- Deep understanding of the "how" and "why" behind organic search and can speak credibly to both practitioners and executives.
- Experience leading comprehensive website audits.
- Confident making — and defending — advanced technical optimization recommendations.
- Ability to provide actionable insights, prioritize them by impact, and confidently push back on client strategies with informed alternative recommendations.
- Experience using AI tools to create efficiencies in day-to-day activities and client work, and ability to guide others.
- Comfortable working with and extracting insights from data sets using Excel/Google Sheets, LLMs like Gemini and Claude, as well as other tools.
- Ability to clearly explain SEO/AEO concepts and strategic recommendations to internal and external teams, senior leadership, and executive sponsors, in both verbal and written formats.
- Actively follow industry blogs and stay informed on how AI and LLMs are shifting the future of SEO.
- Track record of managing your own book of strategic accounts across multiple projects.
- Pride in meeting deadlines and delivering clean, accurate work.
- Comfortable mentoring or informally guiding less experienced team members.
