About the Role

AKQA is seeking a Freelance Senior Designer with a strong UI emphasis to support a leading connectivity and technology brand. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to digital product experiences reaching a vast audience within a collaborative, fast-paced team. This is a hybrid freelance position from June 22 to December 23, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic, conceptual, and design skills across various deliverables.
  • Create and manage original, visually compelling work that is on-brand and purposeful.
  • Establish and maintain visual design systems, including creating and deploying tokenized components for scalable design.
  • Utilize AI tools to inform and streamline the design process, from research to prototyping.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and internal AKQA teams, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of experience, with an agency setting preferred.
  • Strong UI sensibility and visual design craft for digital products, with complementary UX capabilities.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing strong UI craft across digital products and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of Figma, including design systems, variables, and libraries.
  • Strong proficiency with leading industry-standard UX design and prototyping tools.
