About the Role
FSA Federal is seeking a Records Examiner/Analyst to support the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) in removing the tools of crime from criminal organizations and impacting their infrastructure. This is a mission-driven career opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate data and information from multiple sources.
- Confirm completeness of received data/information and resolve inconsistencies.
- Accurately enter required data into databases, documents, or spreadsheets.
- Create case/project files.
- Manage validation and verification of case files and case data system.
- Track case file status to confirm compliance with established deadlines.
- Manage requests for additional information.
- Select relevant information from various sources to prepare documents, reports, summaries, and replies, ensuring accuracy and proper format.
- Manipulate, transfer, compute, and print information.
- Prepare and modify reports and correspondence using word processing software.
- Provide accurate and timely status updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, or High School Diploma/GED and two years' experience.
- One year of experience in asset forfeiture or a related law enforcement field (including legal and military experience).
- Ability to understand the organization and functions of the customer.
- Demonstrable project and workload management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Competence to review, interpret, evaluate, and extract data from complex legal and non-legal documents.
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous data entry skills.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications; advanced skills preferred.
- Proven commitment and expertise in providing excellent customer service; positive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional disposition.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Requires a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.
