About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Designer to support engineers in the New Product Development group by creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and documentation for frame, body, cabin, and other components on electric forklifts. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and CAD skills, who values innovative ideas and enjoys tackling challenges with positivity and humor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop parametric 3D models, drawings, and study files using CREO, managing files in PDM software.
  • Work with a wide range of parts including welded steel assemblies, metal castings, plastics, rubbers, multi-part assemblies, and electrical components.
  • Conduct engineering checks and provide data and documentation to engineers for analysis.
  • Update models and documentation as required.
  • Diagnose design problems and prepare countermeasure options.
  • Ensure drawing quality by considering design intent, materials, quality control characteristics, dimensions, tolerances, product requirements, and clarity.
  • Manage parts list (BOM) in PDM and other engineering documents.
  • Create engineering change documentation.
  • Follow technical company standards for modeling and drafting.
  • Participate in recurring design reviews to uphold design quality and facilitate communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, cost, quality, and delivery of new products.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience creating models and drawings in CAD software (CREO preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Great documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams.
