About the Role
The successful candidate will work on challenging and diverse tasks in a consulting and construction role, applying technical skills, project delivery, and leadership for water infrastructure projects including pipelines, municipal facilities, and treatment plants.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily oversight and supervision of site inspectors and administer construction contracts.
- Act as a role model and leader for Health and Safety.
- Observe and review projects during construction, monitoring conformance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Monitor construction progress, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.
- Review contractor payment draw requests and prepare timely payment certifications for the project owner.
- Communicate with and make recommendations to the Project Manager, Client, and design team to resolve site issues.
- Fulfill a public relations role for construction projects, where applicable.
- Provide project progress or delay updates to the Project Manager and/or Client.
- Review change orders and field orders for reasonableness of pricing and constructability.
- Review plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings, and pay applications for quality assurance/quality control.
- Prepare documents and maintain project-related information files, including correspondence, reports, and pictures.
