About the Role
Seeking a Software Engineer to build modern, scalable web applications using React, .NET, Next.js, and Azure. This role is open to experienced engineers and high-potential early-career candidates, with responsibilities calibrated based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies (.NET, React/Next.js, Azure).
- Contribute to feature delivery from technical design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver new capabilities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, focusing on performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and share knowledge.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and propose system improvements.
- Monitor and improve application performance, including front-end rendering, APIs, and database interactions.
- Apply security best practices in application development.
- Partner with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments on Azure.
- Mentor and support other engineers (for experienced candidates).
- Actively learn through mentorship and progressively take on more ownership (for early-career candidates).
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) for experienced candidates.
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development for experienced candidates.
- Strong experience with modern web technologies (React, .NET, Next.js, Azure or similar stacks) for experienced candidates.
- Proven ability to design and build scalable APIs and/or microservices for experienced candidates.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for experienced candidates.
- Experience with version control (Git) and Agile development practices for experienced candidates.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver production-quality software with strong attention to reliability, observability, and maintainability for experienced candidates.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) for early-career candidates.
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design) for early-career candidates.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C#, TypeScript, Java, Python) for early-career candidates.
- Hands-on experience through internships, research, or substantial academic/personal projects for early-career candidates.
- Familiarity with web development concepts (front-end frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud platforms) for early-career candidates.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and apply concepts in practical settings for early-career candidates.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps) is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-native and serverless architectures is preferred.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and best practices is preferred.
- Exposure to Azure or other major cloud platforms is preferred.
- Experience building or integrating AI-enabled features or working with LLM/AI services is preferred.
