About the Role

Rocksteady Music School is seeking passionate musicians to teach rock and pop band lessons to primary-aged children. This role involves providing cover and catch-up lessons in various schools, assessing student needs, and building positive relationships with educational institutions. Join a growing community dedicated to making music education accessible to all children.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cover and catch-up lessons in Rocksteady schools.
  • Assess the needs of children and schools.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons in diverse situations.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with schools.
  • Manage administrative duties outside of lessons.
  • Support new Band Leaders in the area.
  • Help maintain quality standards in the region.

Requirements

  • Competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, and vocals.
  • Energised by travel and able to stay away from home as required.
  • Consistently and positively represent the brand in schools.
  • Organized with excellent administrative skills.
  • Highly personable, approachable, and friendly.
  • Confident and concise communication style.
  • Positive and can-do approach to work.
  • Resilient and adaptable.
  • UK/EU Driving Licence and own transport are essential.
  • Must disclose all unprotected unspent and spent cautions and convictions.
  • Must complete an enhanced DBS check with a children's barred list check.

Salary/Compensations

  • £33,000 - £38,000 per year
  • £33,000 per annum (effective from 1st October 2026)
  • £32,000 per annum (if starting before 1st October 2026)
  • OTE earnings for year 1: £34,500
