About the Role

The Dialysis Area Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing facility and equipment maintenance for multiple dialysis facilities in a designated geographic area. This role covers the Albany, NY region and requires participation in on-call duties and availability during emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs per manufacturer and DCI guidelines, as well as AAMI standards
  • Educate direct patient care and technical staff on proper use and maintenance of all equipment and document training
  • Ensure building and equipment maintenance is up to date and assist with preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Supervise biomedical technical staff to ensure water treatment systems, dialysis machines and reuse equipment are serviced and maintained according to standards
  • Maintain proper inventory controls following DCI guidelines
  • Act as liaison during on-site surveys by regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate maintenance services from outside vendors
  • Confirm each clinic performs air quality testing according to policy
  • Stay updated on OSHA and other environment-of-care standards
  • Collaborate with patient care staff and encourage open communication
  • Schedule and document routine technical staff meetings
  • Attend and present technical and water quality data in monthly QAPI and governing body meetings

Salary/Compensations

  • $70,000-$89,000 annually
