About the Role
Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Product Operations Manager II to drive the end-to-end localization process for Commerce and Legal, focusing on execution and long-term improvements. This role involves developing strategic and technical solutions to achieve business goals, driving technical implementations with engineering teams to enhance the global Disney+ product, and enabling tools and efficiencies to ensure smooth operations without localization being a blocker. You will communicate business and legal requirements to various stakeholders, identify and resolve blockers, and help product teams understand international requirements for culturally and linguistically appropriate products. The role also includes providing visibility and communication for large projects and team goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage a collection of related Commerce-led features or portions of key products.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution, influence team decisions, and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, create clear documentation, and manage stakeholder interactions.
- Plan and manage the execution of multiple features, prioritize tasks, manage backlogs, and ensure quality launches.
- Analyze trade-offs, hit sprint goals, and drive measurable product outcomes such as feature adoption and metric improvements.
- Drive the end-to-end localization process for Commerce and Legal for all core projects and supported content.
- Focus on execution and long-term improvements in localization.
- Think about strategic and technical solutions to achieve business goals.
- Ensure team resources are spent in alignment with business goals.
- Drive technical implementations with engineering teams to improve development and create a more engaging global Disney+ product.
- Focus on enabling tools and efficiencies for processes and systems to run on time and smoothly.

- Communicate business and legal requirements from internal teams to engineers, designers, language-service providers, localization QA, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, gather, and drive consensus among required groups across the company for larger goals.
- Resolve blockers in other teams to move forward.
- Help core product teams, designers, and engineers recognize international requirements to create a culturally and linguistically appropriate product.
- Provide up-to-date visibility and communication for large projects and team goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management and within the Globalization/Localization Product field.
- BA or MA in an area related to international product management, localization, project management, or a related field is preferred.
- Track record of managing and releasing complex and high-quality globalized products in collaboration with core product teams.
- Knowledge of globalization best practices and internationalization requirements.
- Background establishing process, supporting teams, developing relationships, and managing end-to-end for multiple localization programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Track record of being a self-starter, self-motivated and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on program management experience in Globalization Operations or Globalization Program Management.
- Deep understanding of translation management systems (TMS), computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, and automation technologies.
- Proven experience in integrating GenAI, Neural Machine Translation (NMT), and LLMs into localization pipelines and content workflows.

Salary/Compensations
- $112,000.00 - $150,100.00 per year
