About the Role
As part of the New Balance retail leadership team, the part-time Retail Team Lead assists with duties such as opening/closing the store, driving results, and delivering a world-class experience for guests. You will lead by example through New Balance’s Core Competencies.
Responsibilities
- Be a positive leadership presence on the sales floor while communicating and coaching professionally with all associates.
- Be results-driven in achieving store key performance indicators through training and development of associates.
- Deliver a great guest experience utilizing the GUEST service model.
- Opening/closing the store.
- Follow safety and reporting regulations, including proper lifting procedures.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Interest in building community.
- Familiarity with running culture.
- Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a thriving retail business, which may entail working on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift 4 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to lift maximum 8 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to kneel or squat frequently.
- Ability to move boxes of product up to 50lbs (with assistance if necessary).
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb ladders occasionally.
- Ability to climb and descend stairs frequently (depending on location).
