About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving new business pipeline and sales engagements to acquire net new customers and achieve revenue targets. This role involves crafting strategic territory plans, displacing competing technologies, and leveraging consultative selling skills to secure enterprise-wide deployments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive new business pipeline and sales engagements.
- Meet and exceed quota by crafting and implementing strategic territory plans.
- Target net new logo deployments of the Palo Alto Networks Next Generation Security Platform.
- Win business and market share by actively displacing competing technologies.
- Drive and orchestrate complex new business sales cycles.
- Work with internal partners and teams to win and onboard new customers.
- Prospect, initiate, and secure relationships with prospective customers and executive sponsors.
- Create and implement strategic account plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments within net-new accounts.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the strategic competitive landscape and customer needs.
- Engage a programmatic approach to demand generation, cold prospecting, and territory hunting.
- Leverage prospect stories to create a compelling value proposition.
- Stay updated on industry news and trends.
- Travel as necessary within territory for face-to-face prospect meetings and company-wide meetings.
Requirements
- Experience in cybersecurity sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of SaaS-based architectures is preferred.
- Proven track record of net-new customer acquisition.
- Experience cultivating mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners.
- Ability to lead all aspects of the sales cycle—from cold outreach and prospecting to qualifying, developing, and closing new, white-space territories and accounts.
- Successful track record selling complex solutions to enterprise prospects.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to independently build and execute a territory growth strategy with high levels of autonomy.
- Highly competitive, quick to ramp, and driven by the thrill of the win.
