About the Role
Summerhill Market is seeking reliable, detail-oriented team players to join their Commissary team as Meat Production Clerks. This role involves preparing, portioning, marinating, seasoning, and packaging raw meats while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion raw meats according to recipes and production standards
- Marinate, season, and package products for retail and prepared foods
- Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
- Operate and clean meat processing equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Support daily production targets in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Comfortable working with raw meat and in a refrigerated environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to handle early morning or afternoon shifts
- Previous kitchen, butcher, or production experience is an asset
