About the Role
The Accounting Associate ensures CDP’s daily financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately and efficiently, contributing to the core accounting and reporting processes within the Financial Control Team.
Responsibilities
- Perform finance operations transactions (e.g. AP, AR, debt collection, cash allocation, expenses).
- Provide operational reporting & communication e.g. aged debt and supplier accounts.
- Conduct banking activities e.g. setting up payments for approval.
- Maintain and implement operational finance systems, processes and record keeping.
- Maintain strong controls to prevent/detect fraud or misstatement.
- Ensure clear objectives and participate in performance and development conversations.
- Foster a respectful and inclusive workplace with open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Live the CDP Values and demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
Requirements
- Experience of Operational Finance.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Balances a can-do attitude, and inclination towards problem solving, with a strong understanding of financial controls and risk.
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to manage own workload.
- Ability to communicate clearly and logically.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
