About the Role
As a Driver, you will perform tasks involving driving equipment, maintaining D.O.T. logs, picking up and disposing of materials, and performing physical labor on parking lots. You will also carry out maintenance work such as removing asphalt, vegetation, dirt, sediment, and debris, performing catch basin repairs, and installing bollards. The Driver will inspect and maintain all equipment and supplies, complete minor repairs, and perform pre- and post-inspections of vehicle safety mechanisms.
Responsibilities
- Drive equipment
- Maintain D.O.T. logs
- Pick up materials
- Dispose of materials
- Perform physical labor on parking lots
- Carry out maintenance work
- Remove existing deteriorated asphalt
- Remove vegetation, dirt, sediment and debris
- Perform catch basin repairs
- Install bollards
- Perform any maintenance project assigned by the foreman or team lead
- Inspect and maintain all equipment and supplies including tires, lights, brakes, gas and oil
- Complete minor repairs to equipment at the direction of the Foreman or Operations Manager and/or the Team Lead
- Perform pre- and post-inspection of vehicle safety mechanisms
- Perform pre-check list of vehicle safety mechanisms, including but not limited to brake lights, signal lights, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Some general construction knowledge and/or experience preferred
- Class A CDL and current medical card and all DOT requirements
- Clean driving record
- Must be physically able to perform general labor duties as assigned to company standards
- Must have positive attitude, reliable & punctual
Skills
- Mechanical & equipment experience is a plus
Education Level
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
