About the Role

The Driver supports the Kosher Meals on Wheels program, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient meal delivery to clients throughout San Francisco. This role helps reduce isolation and enhance daily living for seniors.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hot meals to clients Monday through Friday
  • Assist with the delivery of food to food bank members and to JFCS offices in Marin and on the Peninsula
  • Practice safety measures and standard driving procedures at all times
  • Report any mechanical problems or damage to the van, even minor damage, immediately to the Director of Nutrition
  • Collaborate with other JFCS staff to ensure that client needs are met

Requirements

  • Current California driver’s license
  • Clean DMV record
  • Candidates must be able to provide a minimum of two (2) professional references from current or former direct supervisors or managers
  • Strong ability to work independently and use sound judgment
  • Ability to communicate well with seniors and establish rapport with clients
