About the Role

native is seeking graduates for a broad data analyst role within the Insights team. This role involves transforming collected data into valuable research and segmentation for brand partners, offering an opportunity to learn at speed and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze survey and platform data, from raw data to final reports and visualizations.
  • Clean, weight, and interpret survey data from Campus Voice and commissioned studies.
  • Utilize SQL on the BigQuery platform to extract and shape datasets.
  • Create clear visualizations for reports and commercial pitches.
  • Cross-tabulate survey and behavioral data against student personas and segments.
  • Maintain survey instruments, notebooks, and documentation for reproducibility.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to refine datasets and pipelines.
  • Identify and flag slow or fragile datasets and pipelines.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellence in an area, such as first-class honours, Dean's List, a research result, or a dedicated project.
  • Statistical reasoning skills, including understanding of sample bias, weighting, significance tests, and regression interpretation.
  • Commercial curiosity and interest in how brands reach audiences.
  • Experience working with real, messy data, including cleaning, validation, and schema design.
  • Proficiency in writing proper Python code using pandas and numpy, structured into functions and utilities.
  • Ability to write correct SQL, handling duplicates, NULLs, and joins effectively.
  • Skill in presenting findings clearly through sentences and charts.
  • Self-taught proficiency in relevant tools such as BigQuery, dbt, plotting libraries, git, and survey tooling.
  • Experience taking a piece of analysis end-to-end that others have used (e.g., study, dashboard, report, model) is a plus.
