About the Role

This role focuses on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in designated areas, requiring initiative and adherence to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on cleaning tasks as inducted and trained.
• Understand and adhere to H&S requirements for personal and public safety.
• Maintain punctuality as working hours are fixed.
• Undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed by the Site.
• Immediately report maintenance issues, including broken equipment, defective lighting, and H&S concerns.
• Inform the Site Manager about ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
• Clean and maintain communal areas, including surfaces, vacuuming, dusting, and external sweeping/mopping.
• Understand and comply with all COSHH regulations.
• Work within relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Attend identified and agreed training courses for development.
• Collect all waste and transport it to the designated storage area.
• Operate a ride-on sweeper for external area cleaning (training provided).
• Use a pressure washer and other equipment for external area cleaning.
• Perform litter picking to ensure external areas are clean.
• Use a leaf blower as required.
• Assist with any other cleaning tasks as needed and collaborate with the cleaning team, understanding that tasks may shift between waste/external and internal duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar environment is advantageous.
